I keep waiting for Verizon FIOS to be available around here but doesn't look like my area is on the short of places where it'll be rolled out.
Anybody have it yet? What do you think?

I've used it, It doesn't seem faster than Comcast...

The lowest speed package is 5mbps which is comparable to Comcast. Other packages are 15mbps and 30mbps.
If FIOS every comes to my neighborhood I would be interested in the 30mbps package so that I can have my web server here at the house instead of leasing a dedicated server from a reseller.

what is FIOS?It is Verizon's new fiber optic to the premise offering. Instead of using copper wire to the premise (like DSL) or co-axial (like 'cable' internet) they run fiber optic to a new box on the side of your house (called a NID) and from there branch off to the various connections. Right now it is aimed at internet service but in the states where they have franchises they are also offering video packages over fiber at rates a lot cheaper than most cable companies.
If they ever roll it out in my area it'd be faster & cheaper alternative to cable internet and if they offer video as well then their packages are also cheaper than the local cable companies.
