About the Header, and a couple of other things

Good day. I'm interested in Alien Dreams, however, there is no way my forum banner can work with the header that it has. Would it be a problem to remove the purple and gray section above the thin gray bar and replace it with my banner?

Second question. Can the default size of font be changed to something a bit larger?

Third question. When will the 3.6 version be available?

The speediness of the replies has nothing to do with the way support is given. Kevin gives some of the best support I know! He runs a personal site, this site, has a wife, and a job. If he can't come on and reply to support, it's not his fault. So give him a break. And I'm pretty darn sure that all the skins can be pretty much modified as you want. So I think text can be upped and the top can be removed.

Some recent events with me in the 'real world' caused me to be offline for a bit longer than I anticipated so the updates are coming along a bit slower than originally planned. In the past we have traditionally released all of the styles at once after they've been updated but for vB 3.6.0 we will be releasing them as they are completed the conversion. Diamond is one of the first ones on the list.

Thank you King. I was really feeling all alone here. Would you, or anyone else, happen to know if the banner would have to have a bit of added code to allow the skin to expand or contract over it. I would be running the fluid version.

I wouldn't own it so no I wouldn't. It'd be best to wait until Kevin gets back. Unless you want to venture into the header template and look for stuff.

Not personally no. It's just that my site was down because of changeing hosts and we did the 3.6 update at the same time. I was hoping to get a new skin and have a shinny new look. When we went back online. I'm still interested in the skin but the push to get it is off. We went back up last night. Thx for talking with me.

Nightfire: Everything in that top section is contained in the 'header' template so if you're familiar with HTML & PhotoShop it should be easy enough to replace. The tricky part would be the right side of it... the grey border is actually in the same image as the background so you would need to manipulate the image in PS first to keep the same grey border. Depending upon what you had in mind it might be easier to just replace the whole header with a custom logo or other graphic. Sorry for the delayed response.

Hi Kevin. I do appologize for sounding so pushy. I just had wanted to get a lot done in a short time. I very much like Alien Dreams and it will go very well with my main site.
My only other questions are: can I re-set the default font size easily and when might we see the 3.6 version? I really do hope that things in your life are going well.

It's done through CSS in the style manager and it's just changing some numbers on some inputs.

That certainly sounds manageable. I'm sure that someone could point me to the right place to make the change. :)
