Personally, I love the possibilities that the Pod template has opened up :D.

For instance: http://www.mlgpwncast.com/forum/index.php? - like how the logo changes upon refresh?

Also, did you turn on the "pins" in the .PSD (hidden layer)? In my opinion, they make it look so much nicer (and believe me - it was already awesome :D. You can see 'em in the link I provided.

Yeah, the random image in the 'pod' circle that bluestrike2 came up with was a pretty cool idea as well. He did a really nice job with it as the new images were blended into the design seamlessly.

The pins are indeed a hidden layer. With several of the styles there are very subtle elements in some of the PSD files that the original designer may have put in but decided not go with in the final product. I've been leaving them in the PSD files as an easter egg for people who like to poke around in PhotoShop.
